ORGANIZATIONAL BACKGROUND:

Can Tho University is a multi-disciplinary university founded in 1966. CTU is the biggest and oldest university in the Mekong Delta of Vietnam. The School of Foreign Languages was established in 2015. We are responsible for teaching undergraduate and masters students of English Teacher Education, English Studies, English Translation and Interpretation, French Teacher Education, French Studies. ABOUT THE POSITION: 

The teacher will teach English to students and organize other activities to improve their language skills.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

PiA fellows will be assigned to teach listening and speaking skills to students at Can Tho University. Specifically, the PiA Fellow will: 

• Teach English Listening and Speaking for a maximum of 20 periods per week. 

• Help CTU students organize weekly English speaking clubs, movie nights, or other cultural exchange activities.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: 

PiA Fellows are permitted to teach additional classes to supplement their monthly stipend.

ACADEMIC BACKGROUND OR INTERESTS THAT ARE DESIRED/REQUIRED FOR THE FELLOWSHIP POSITION: 

Graduates from education or social science fields.

REQUIRED SKILLS: 

• Loves to work with students

• Open to learn new things

LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS: 

English speakers of at least C1 level according to the Common European Framework of References for Languages (Equivalent to “Fluent” level in Anglo-Link scale).
