OUR FELLOWS & INTERNS
Meet Our Fellows and Interns
Since 1898, we’ve placed over 3,400 recent graduates in immersive fellowships and internships in over 30 countries and regions throughout Asia. Our Fellows come from a variety of academic and professional backgrounds and have studied at colleges and universities across the United States and beyond. PiA Fellows share a common set of values which enable them to foster mutual appreciation and cross-cultural understanding between the United States and Asia, building lasting relationships through transformative, immersive fellowships.
Fellows and Interns in the PiA Class of 2025 are serving at posts in Cambodia, China, Hong Kong S.A.R., Indonesia, Japan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Laos, Macao S.A.R., Mongolia, Singapore, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Tajikistan, Thailand, Uzbekistan, and Vietnam.
The members of the Class of 2025:
Attend or have graduated from 47 colleges and universities.
Have origins in 25 US states and the District of Columbia, and 4 countries.
Majored in subjects ranging from Biophysics to Studio Art to Political Science.
Bring knowledge of 35 languages to their fellowships and internships, including Chinese, Japanese, Khmer, and Thai, as well as Arabic, ASL, Farsi, Telegu, and Ukrainian.
