Share Your Story

PiA’s work is informed and shaped by the stories of our community. We invite you to consider the following ways of sharing your PiA story with us.

PiA DIGITAL ARCHIVE AND ORAL HISTORY PROJECT

PiA is creating a digital archive to preserve and organize the organization’s historic collection of documents, photographs, artifacts, and other materials, as well as oral histories in a comprehensive online repository. We encourage members of our community to connect with us if you have documents, video footage, photographs, or other materials related to PiA that you would be interested in contributing to our digital archive, or if you would like to be interviewed for PiA’s oral history project.

ALUMNI NOTES

We love to share Alumni news with our community in our annual Pacific Bridges newsletter. If you have a life update to share — such as an educational or professional milestone, a major life event, a gathering with PiAers or a trip to your host community, please fill out this form to have your news included in our next issue of Pacific Bridges.

Volunteer

Princeton in Asia is a community for life, and our Alumni volunteers make a difference in every area of our work, from applicant recruitment to fundraising. There is something for everyone, whether you’re looking to share your PiA experiences with new Fellows at their pre-departure orientation or to connect with your fellow PiA Alumni by planning social events in your area.

In the 2021-22 fiscal year, 128 PiA Alumni and friends volunteered over 580 hours of their time to support our work and our community!

If you are a PiA Alum interested in volunteering for PiA, please fill out this general interest form to let us know which volunteer opportunities you would like to learn more about, or reach out to Danielle Flores

We work with faculty, fellowship advisors, and career services professionals to find fantastic candidates for PiA fellowships, and we are excited to keep you updated on the opportunities we have available each year and any changes to the program. Each year, we are proud to have Fellows from institutions across the country represented in the class, and we are committed to expanding our outreach so candidates from all backgrounds and experiences can contribute to our mission of fostering mutual appreciation and cross-cultural understanding between the United States and Asia.
