Welcome Suela Thomas to PiA!
Princeton is Asia is pleased to announce the newest member of the PiA Team! Suela Thomas, our new Director of Advancement, will be responsible for leading the organization's fundraising and alumni engagement efforts. Suela is a highly experienced fundraiser with a proven track record of success in nonprofit and higher education fundraising. In her most recent role as Director of Leadership Annual Giving at Stevens Institute of Technology, she secured over $3 million in annual gifts. Her prior development experience includes work with the Pratt Institute, the Columbia University Press, and the University of Arizona. She was also Director of Marketing at the International Studies Association in Tucson, Arizona.
Suela was raised in Albania and came to the United States as a college student. She holds a BA in Journalism and a Master of Public Administration from the University of Arizona, and is currently pursuing an MBA at Stevens Institute of Technology. Suela is passionate about cross-cultural education and fostering global understanding and collaboration through immersive and transformative programs. She is committed to using her skills and experience to help PiA continue to build and run an equitable, sustainable, and results-driven organization that advances its mission.
Suela is excited to work with PiA's talented team and passionate Board of Trustees to foster mutual appreciation and cross-cultural understanding between the United States and Asia through immersive work fellowships in host organizations and communities. She is also committed to building and sustaining strong partnerships with PiA's host organizations and Princeton University.
